Poetry Is a Mirror

{November 29, 2012}   30 Poems in November: Poem #29

Only God Knows

Responsible loving mother
Carefree deadbeat father
Hate, Stress, tears,
Fatherless innocent child, growing learning noticing
Abandonment, neglecting, emptiness.

{May 15, 2012}   Question Mark

The painting in progress …

A group poem based on a group painting

I am a growing seed.

My skin is white like a funnel.

I love talking on the phone. I can’t live without it.

Every object has gravity.

Love is strong.

I don’t know.

I can open doors.

I love the rainbow.

I have a lot of questions.

My life is a tangle.

My wound taught me to heal.

I am a buried question mark.

Ta-da! This is the painting that inspired our poem! We all just grabbed brushes and expressed ourselves with colors and words!
