Poetry Is a Mirror

{November 7, 2012}   30 Poems in November: Poem # 8

Is it a Question or is it an Answer Instead?

Is it a question if it’s critical?

Or is it an answer just said hypothetical?

Is it a question if there’s no answer behind it?

Or is it an answer but the question is blinded?

Is it a question where you’re stuck and confused?

Or is it an answer that sings like a muse?

One question here,

Or an answer there,

For instance, are you alone?

If so there’s

No one there,

Do you like black, red, or brunette hair?

Or do this one last time, then we’ll be fair.

Is it a quote?

Or an expression we dread?

Is it a question?

Or an answer instead?

Everything swimming around in my head

As if my dreams were the water

That filled my ocean bed.
